GROWTH IN GOD= realizing WITHOUT HIM you can do nothing!
I believe the more I get to know God, to hear the Holy Spirit, the more I realize that He wants to be a part of everything in my life. He wants to help me make the big and the small decisions. He wants to hang out with me while out and when I’m at home working around the house or cooking dinner. He loves me more than any friend, husband, mother, father, or anyone ever could. He never leaves me, He never forsakes me. He is the best friend I could ever have. He is the comforter. He helps me to understand the Word of God that I am reading. I can’t effectively really read the Word of God and learn new things without Him speaking to me and being my guide. I am learning more all the time that I need to depend on Him for everything. We are told in John that without God we can do nothing and it is so true. It also says that in Him we live, move, and have our being. I believe that the more we understand how much we can’t do with God the more God can do through us and I have definitely learned that He does a WAY better job. It says in the Word that God gives grace to the humble. This is because people that realize how much they can’t do without God, the humble, are able to receive grace from God. We need grace to do EVERYTHING God has called us to do. We can do none of it on our own. SO I would say that this is the area of my life as a Christian growing in the Lord that I have grown the most in, learning of my inability without Christ. Religion always has and always will teach us what we need to do but the truth is Jesus did everything on the cross and only through Him can we do any of it. I believe that when we begin to understand the love God has for us and like the verse in 1 John 4:10 says, ( herein is love, not that we love God but that God loved us and sent His son as the propitiation for our sins) we will begin to truly fall in love with God and that is what will birth true change in our lives. I believe I have really begun to understand how much God loves me and I see the evidence of it in my every day life. I Think that this leads to growth in every other area. I want to read my Bible not only because I know I should and I need to learn things about who I am but I can get to know even more intimately through the Word about my God who loves me so much and that I have fallen in love with. This relationship is a love walk and I plan on falling more in love with my Jesus and the result of that will always be me acting more like Him as well.
